Dr. Fahmi Ibrahim is the Co-founder and CEO of Perantara, a Malaysian startup developing modular electric 2-wheel and 3-wheel vehicles tailored for commercial use. He brings over 15 years of international engineering experience across Germany, the Netherlands, and Malaysia, including senior roles at Bosch, Continental, and Philips. Dr. Fahmi holds a PhD in Systems Engineering from University College London, and earned his MSc and BSc degrees in Mechatronics (Germany) and Mechanical Engineering (USA), respectively. He has led global R&D projects across Europe and Asia, driving innovations in complex system design, reliability engineering, and product architecture for the automotive, medical and security industries. At Perantara, he leads the development of a modular micro EV platform built for reliability, adaptability, and scalability. Each vehicle functions as both a transport asset and a mobile sensor node, with edge logging and telemetry supporting distributed multi-layer data analytics.
