SIRIM Berhad ,Izzal graduated from Japan and joined Malaysia's Proton, then went to the UK for engine R&D. He pursued a PhD at Imperial College London, focusing on enhancing engine simulation software. During his PhD, he collaborated with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries(hashtag#MHI) on industrial projects. After earning his PhD in 2017, he worked as a researcher and later returned to Malaysia as Head of Product Innovation at hashtag#UMW, leading sustainable product development projects and fostering industry-academia-government collaboration. In 2024, he became CTO of SIRIM Industrial Research, committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions for innovation.
